Cross-departmental concepts for performing upgrade work or replacing components are worked out right in the bidding phase. Once the order is received, the detailed design phase can begin based on the pre-project planning phase. This reduces the project processing time. In the last 10 years, more than 50 retrofits have been performed in addition to the delivery of new cranes.

Through years of experience in the field of retrofitting, KW Kranwerke can complete even the most difficult upgrade projects in a short period of time. In some instances, the experienced assembly team creates unconventional transport and set-up concepts when bringing in a crane system, for example through an existing roof opening (RWA) or doors in the bunker.
For the operators, this reduces conversion and downtimes. Such work can also be performed during ongoing operation.
